Bringing Back an Old Tradition

MATEC Indiana is reviving an old tradition. Some of you have been around long enough to remember the AIDServe Indiana Superstar Award. The Superstar Award recognized outstanding commitment and contributions on behalf of Hoosiers impacted by HIV/AIDS. MATEC Indiana intends to expand upon the spirit of this award to highlight exceptional commitment and contributions that have impacted the sexual health of the residents of Indiana. This new award will be called the MATEC Indiana Vanguard Award.

The MATEC Indiana Vanguard Award seeks to recognize a member of our HIV/STD prevention and care community who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and has contributed in efforts to improve the sexual health of Hoosiers with a special focus on the needs of marginalized individuals and communities.

The inaugural MATEC Indiana Vanguard Award will be presented at the 2015 HIV/STD Update: Advances in Care & Prevention in May. Please stay tuned for more information. Eligibility criteria and nomination instructions will be released shortly.

Yours Truly,
MATEC Indiana
