MATEC offers clinical consultations to health care providers at no cost by phone or e-mail regarding the care of patients with HIV infection. Contact any member of the MATEC staff and you will be connected to an expert who serves as Clinical Leadership or Clinical Faculty for MATEC Indiana. We respond to all questions within 48 hours, but we are often able to respond within two hours.

Consultations can be on any topic related to the care of a patient with HIV infection including, but not limited to:

Rapid perinatal HIV consultation from practicing providers on topics like HIV testing in pregnancy, treating HIV-infected pregnant women, preventing transmission during labor and delivery and the post-partum period, and managing the HIV-exposed infant.

Clinical Substance Abuse Consultation (Substance Use Warmline) | 1-855-300-3595 (Monday-Friday, 10:00AM – 6:00PM EST)

Receive free and confidential peer-to-peer telephone consultation focusing on substance use evaluation and management for primary care clinicians from addition medicine-certified physicians, clinical pharmacists, and nurses with special expertise in pharmacotherapy options for opioid use.

Hepatitis C Consultation Service (Warmline) | 1-844- 437-4636 (Monday-Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM EST)

Receive up-to-date expert clinical advice on managing patients with hepatitis C (HCV) and co-morbidities such as HIV co-infection or substance use disorder.
